Your puppy may be picked up here, or shipped by air at buyer’s expense. Air shipment is usually between $200 and $300, depending on location. We include a new crate, water bottle and health certificate required by airline.
We have had our dogs fly before, and never experienced a problem other than an infrequent delay. There are more than two million pets flown every year in the USA. We will make every effort to ensure a stress free, safe journey by following a careful pre-flight procedure of preparing the puppy for shipping and placing in the hands of the airline that will carefully monitor its well-being.
The ANIMAL AND PLANT INSPECTION SERVICE of the U.S. DEPT. OF AGRICULTURE enforces the FEDERAL ANIMAL WELFARE ACT. Here are some of the more important requirements that must be followed:
*Dogs must be at least 8 weeks old and been weaned for at least 5 days.
*Crates must meet the minimum standard for size, ventilation, strength, sanitation, and designed for safe handling. (Our crates meet these reqs.)
*Dogs must not be brought to airline more than 4 hours before departure. If puppies are in transit more than 12 hours, food and water must be supplied. Written instructions for food and water must accompany all animals.
*Animals may not be exposed to temperatures less than 45F.
*Animals cannot be shipped COD.
The airlines require a health certificate from a licensed DVM. This will be provided by MONTVERDE LABRADOODLES. We will make the flight arrangements, and give you the information so you may pay for them. We fly from Burlington,VT or Manchester, NH, our two closest and largest airports.
For clients living within 200 miles of us, we will deliver by automobile at a negotiable cost.
