ABOUT LABRADOODLES
Labradoodles are loving, social, highly trainable, and excellent companion dogs for the blind, children, or people with disabilities. Their great dispositions makes them a great joy for anyone. Their coats are almost maintenance free, ranging from brushing to
occasional grooming. Labradoodles come in three basic sizes. The “STANDARD” is over 21" at the highest point of the shoulders and weighs between 50 and 75 pounds. The “MEDIUM” is 18" to 20" at the high point of shoulders and weighs between 40 and 55 pounds. The “MINIATURE” is under 17" and less than 40 pounds in weight. All three sizes should be equal in appearance, temperament and confirmation.
The generational terminology is as follows:
F1=Labrador Retriever bred to Poodle, (50% Lab & 50% Poodle.) These can range widely in appearance and shedding.
F1B= Labradoodle (F1) bred to Poodle, (25% Lab & 75% Poodle.) These have wavy, curly or woolly coats and are low non-shedding and allergy friendly.
MULTI-GENERATIONAL=F1B bred to a F1B or later generation. These have more of a non-shedding, allergy free coat.
Here at MONTVERDE LABRADOODLES we have only F1B and later
generations for breeding purposes, both mediums and miniatures. We feel that they produce the most consistent qualities one would want in a Labradoodle.
